Opening Programme: Concert "Dreamscape"
Stay Awake. Start Dreaming – a concert experience where soundtracks, pop music, street dance and art-tech converge.
Dreamscape invites the audience to embark on a journey that feels like a dream envisioned with eyes wide open. Analogous to traversing a wormhole, this experience transcends time, space, and the soul to explore the profound depths of the subconscious. Moving from the vastness of the cosmos to the intimate inner world, the performance unveils the hidden desires and unspoken voices mirrored in our dreams, fostering a dialogue of self-discovery that connects our shared vulnerability, courage, and strength.
Co-curated by multi-faceted local musician and artist Vicky Fung and erhu virtuoso and film composer Chu Wan-pin, the concert reimagines classic Hong Kong film scores and weaves them into a rich tapestry of pop hits across generations. The two-night spectacle features an exceptional lineup of guest performers: Phil Lam and Winka@COLLAR (17 April), followed by Tang Siu-hau and Jeremy@MIRROR (18 April). Accompanied by ensemble, choir and rising musical talents, these artists engage in a cross-disciplinary collaboration with young street dancers to spark new creative synergy. Together, they present a vibrant musical feast that harmonises diverse vocals, styles, and energies, allowing the audience to witness the intersection of varied musical languages and the dynamic chemistry of spontaneous interaction.
Each concert will be followed by a post-performance talk.
